InFLAMES Research flagship

InFLAMES Research Flagship Centre is a multidisciplinary research community focused on understanding inflammatory and immune-mediated diseases and translating research discoveries into new approaches for health and medicine. LaBio Media developed the visual identity, brand guidelines and website, and has supported the flagship's ongoing communication through a large volume of digital and print materials.

Challenge

A research flagship brings together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, visiting scientists and other stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

The communication therefore needed to work across very different contexts, from the InFLAMES website and scientific announcements to lecture advertisements, large events, corporate communications and high-visibility digital displays.

The challenge was to create a recognisable visual language that could remain consistent while supporting a wide range of communication needs.

Approach

LaBio Media developed the InFLAMES logo and visual identity, establishing the core visual language used across the flagship's communication.

A style guide was created to provide a consistent foundation for typography, colour, graphic elements and applications.

The identity was then extended into the digital environment through the InFLAMES website, creating a platform for communicating the flagship's research, people, activities, events and opportunities.

Beyond the website, the identity became a practical communication system used continuously across the organisation.

Deliverables

  • Brand identity
  • Digital content and web updates
  • Events & scientific communication
  • Presentations & displays

Outcome

The result is not a single finished campaign, but an ongoing visual communication partnership. By working across web, design, presentations and video, I can respond to different communication needs while maintaining familiarity with the organisation, its research environment and its audiences.
